Senior Wireless Supply Chain Sourcing Manager

Job Description

Blue Danube Systems is looking for a Sr. Supply Chain Manager in the New Jersey, California and Texas regions, who will have an opportunity to manage the introduction of new products for a fast-growing wireless communications startup and to participate in development activities associated with the company’s revolutionary product. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing processes, leading a team and hands-on execution. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing engineering and sales teams, he/she will ensure that Blue Danube Systems is delivering a cost effective, quality product on time.


  • Develop and manage a comprehensive supply chain strategy addressing key sourcing and outsourcing factors including technology and cost roadmaps
  • Engage commercial suppliers with engineering (quoting, samples, FAE support, and quality) and new product introductions including BOM release and change control maintenance
  • Manage all supplier relationships and procurement activities across the complete product life cycle from product conception and development through end of life
  • Work with contract manufacturers and system integration partners for assembly, test and direct order fulfillment of revenue and warranty orders
  • Manage duty and trade programs and associated compliance programs
  • Will be responsible for cost reduction program, running critical SCM metrics on cost reduction, on-time shipment and revenue of orders, and meeting timely warranty replacement shipments
  • Will be responsible to develop and execute processes covering purchasing, strategic sourcing, inventory min/max levels and direct order fulfillment
  • Implement an ERP system within a start-up environment
  • Reconcile/review/sign-off on invoices for production and engineering development efforts
  • Work with finance on month end and quarter end inventory reconciliation

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing/procurement management in a complex supply chain environment
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and leadership in making management/business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influence-management, negotiation, assertiveness, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Prior hands-on experience in managing supply chain activities of wireless equipment
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communications


Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or logistics, supply chain management; MBA a plus.
